Since I was a closed book for 19 years, now I'm a little too open! ... I started my period a few days ago, not that it's a bad thing, but it's not a good thing. When I start on my own, I have a VERY hard time stopping! My body is known to just start sporadically while in the middle of a month on birth control. Crazy I know. Well, a few months back one of my friends asked if I would like her free samples of birth control, because she no longer needed them. I of course took them knowing that I would need them whenever my body decided to start again.
I flashed back to a year ago. (for all the details, read this Post, and then the update to that is this Post) So that's a small glimpse of my history. When I started I decided, I've done this before- I'll let it go 4 to 5 days and then start birth control. Tuesday was day 5 and my period started to pick up a bit so I caved and took BC. We'll see how I do. Anyone else done the "tapering dose" of birth control? It's something that Dr. G used to have me do all the time. Take a pill every 4 hours for 3 days, then ever 6 hours for 3 days, then ever 8 hours, every 12 hours and then once a day. I wouldn't mind doing it except it makes me so incredibly nauseous! The first time I did it we had our 22 month old foster daughter and I couldn't change her diaper without wanting to puke!
The other part, my body is too smart for it! Seriously, it's weird! My body learns when I'm supposed to take BC , so I'll be going alone period free for a day or two. Then I'm make the transfer from 4 hours to 6, at 4 1/2 hours my body realizes I should of had it by then and will start gushing again! I've learned to out smart my body, I can not taking it right at 4 hours or right on the hour- so I skip it around between 4 to 6 hours and slowly work it further and further apart. So far, still bleeding, but I'm only on dose #3 so far. Wish me luck!

I've never done that, while dealing with my infertility issues, a couple DRs wanted me to take a month or two of birth control and I refused. I have only started taking birth control for the first time in my life this past August. Not even to prevent anything but rather to keep my extremely horrible periods away.
BTW - I looooove the new pictures of you guys! They turned out so good!
