Here I go again....

Today I had my second visit with Dr. Amazing, really that's what I'm gonna call him. He went over all my test and history from my previous Dr. and found that he (previous Dr.) ran some tests that showed PCOS, but obviously didn't realized it. He (Dr. S) drew me pictures of what is supposed to be happening with my body and what really is going on and what his plan is. I have been ready to call it quits for a while now, please no more poking and protting, tests and medications that lead to more heartbreak, I'm DONE! Nope, not his plan... today I really do feel like a human pin cushion. He ordered 3 more test which resulted in not 1, or even 2, but 3 pokes from 3 needles because they could not get any blood out of me! I still have a bruise from last week's test too!

I'm starting Provera to have a "normal" cycle and then on to MORE Clomid! Really? I'm so tired of Clomid, if he had no of described how thoroughly he was going to be doing it all I would have told him no way. He explained that most doctors (and my previous 2 were some of them) give you Clomid and send you on your way, telling you to take an over-the-counter ovulation test to see if Clomid is working. He doesn't do that. He will have me come in and do ultrasounds to see IF the egg is even growing, to is if my body is ready for implantation and if the egg is developing properly. IF all those things go as planned, when my body is ready to get pregnant he will give me a shot to help my body release the egg so that I can get pregnant! Wow, this is a LOT more fertility then I had planned on. I told Brad I will do Clomid, but NO shots! Hum, I guess not. He is going to try that for about 4 months and then try implantation.... We'll see how this goes. Once again he is full of all sorts of HOPE that I don't want. If I actually get pregnant then wonderful, but I really, really, don't need more devastation.... sigh.....

- I love how he explains every little thing and even my dumb questions he answers.

I'm glad you found a doctor who will listen to you and care about helping you get pregnant.

I belong to a Yahoo PCOS group. They talk about Clomid, Metformin, and all sorts of other PCOS things. You should check them out. Here is the link: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/PCOS-Pals/
